Yes. Our physiotherapy, chiropractic, naturopathy and osteopathic services are extended health benefits according to your plan. We will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company, so you can be reimbursed for any amount up to your coverage limit or submit it directly to your insurance company.
We are not currently set up to treat WSIB or MVA claims, and as such we cannot bill WSIB or your motor vehicle insurance for your treatment. If you still choose to have treatment at Wellness Place, please note that you will be responsible for the treatment cost, and we are not responsible for any fees that are not re-reimbursed by WSIB or your motor vehicle insurance company.
As direct-access healthcare professionals, physiotherapists/chiropractors/naturopaths and osteopaths do not require a doctor’s referral. This means that anyone can self-refer to have access to our services. HOWEVER, some extended health care providers require a doctor’s referral in order to reimburse you for services. In most cases, a referral is not required, but is recommended to call your provider to confirm your coverage amount and determine if a referral is required.
